ChargePoint launches new partner programme for distributors

US charging specialist ChargePoint has introduced its 'Channel Partner Program', which provides European sales companies with access to tiered pricing, growth bonuses, and marketing budgets. In return, ChargePoint expects a high level of business commitment and the completion of central training and certifications.

ChargePoint will roll out the initiative across the UK, France, the DACH region, the Benelux countries and the Nordic countries. Through the new partner programme, distributors will receive financial incentives, project protection, marketing resources and technical training, among other benefits. Participants can achieve three partner levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold – determined by annual revenue and the completion of key training and certifications. “As partners advance through Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers, they unlock increasing discounts on charging hardware, software subscriptions, and services, along with performance-based rebates that reward business growth,” the company stated.

The programme is open to all authorised ChargePoint distributors. Companies that have not yet reached a partner level “can still benefit from many program offerings through ChargePoint’s wholesale channel,” according to the company. This partner initiative already bears the mark of John Saffrett, ChargePoint’s new Europe chief. Only recently, Saffrett told electrive that Europe is becoming increasingly important for ChargePoint’s global success.

In the context of the new programme, Saffrett commented: “The transition to electric transportation depends on the strength of the ecosystem delivering charging infrastructure to businesses and fleets. Our new partner program is designed to help resellers build sustainable, recurring revenue businesses while helping customers deploy charging faster and operate it more effectively. By investing in our partners’ growth, we’re strengthening the entire EV charging value chain.”

ChargePoint also emphasises that, unlike traditional hardware-focused partner programmes, the new programme “combines charging hardware, cloud software, services, training, marketing support, and business planning within a single framework”. ChargePoint’s European portfolio includes both AC charging solutions like the CP6000 and the recently introduced DC product line, Express, which includes the Express Solo with a charging capacity of up to 600 kW.
