PRICES: The Skoda Peaq, Skoda’s largest electric vehicle, starts at 204,900 PLN for the 63 (59) kWh version and 242,100 PLN for the 91 (86) kWh version. As a D-SUV – that’s how it is.

We already know the price of the Skoda Peaq, a D-SUV crossover that theoretically could even have 7 seats in its cabin. The Skoda Peaq 60, with a battery capacity of 63 (59) kWh and a range of 389–458 WLTP units, costs starting at 204,900 złoty, while the Skoda Peaq 90, featuring the highest available battery capacity of 91 (86) kWh and a range of 526–645 WLTP units, is priced at 242,100 złoty. These are competitive prices compared to the Peugeot E-5008, though this car... isn’t quite a direct competitor. It’s more like the Skoda Enyaq with an even larger trunk.
The new Skoda Peaq. Large, though still too small
Let’s start with an important caveat: if anyone is considering the Skoda Peaq as a car for a 2+3+ family, they should read Bjorn Nyland’s review. Although the vehicle is 4.87 meters long, it isn’t suitable for transporting larger groups of people, with comfort only extending to a 2+2 family setup. The third row of seats is less functional than in the Mercedes EQB: Mercedes prioritized maximum functionality at the expense of cargo space, allowing someone to fit in the back, while Skoda seems to have preferred a traditional approach of “Skoda = large trunk.” As a result, the third row of seats serves more of a decorative purpose:

The Skoda Peaq in Skory’s mud color doesn’t look its best. But it might be a matter of the angle, which distorts the proportions.
The Skoda Peaq should therefore be viewed as a VW ID. Buzz, only with a trendy SUV-style body. Family owners needing 2+2 seating will find in it an equivalent to the VW ID.4, but with an even larger trunk than the Enyaq (935 liters!), more interesting visual lines, and still good range. Meanwhile, a single person will notice that by folding down the seats in the second row, they can fit a bike in the cabin. But it’s possible they’ll conclude that before doing so, they’d rather enjoy a new VW ID.3 GTI

The standard Skoda Peaq 60 Selection, priced at 204,900 złoty, comes with a battery of 63 (59) kWh capacity that can charge from 10% to 80% in 27 minutes. The base model is blue, and the designers put a lot of effort into making potential buyers feel they’d rather pay more for a nicer paint finish (see illustration below). The rear axle is equipped with the APP350 engine, an improved version of the APP310 offering 150 kW/204 hp and 350 Nm of torque, which handles the larger size and weight of the electric Skoda better than the APP310.

The maximum WLTP range of 458 units applies with 19-inch wheels and no additional features. There are significant costs for extras, ranging from 360-degree cameras and matrix headlights to inductive phone chargers. But note that standard equipment includes a three-zone climate control system, three airbags (1 front + 2 rear), front and rear parking sensors, navigation with charging stop recommendations, a reverse camera, a 13.6-inch central display, and heated front seats.

If maximum range is a concern, we can always choose the Skoda Peaq 90 with a 91 (86) kWh battery and a more efficient (and powerful) APP550 engine in the rear axle. Unfortunately, opting for the more powerful configuration doesn’t change any of the standard features; we can only enjoy a shorter charging time from 10 to 80 percent, which is 24 minutes. For magnetic induction chargers, foldable (“zero gravity”) front seats with massage functions, a third row of seats, suspension with variable damping shock absorbers, a heat pump, heated rear seats and windshield, etc., we’ll have to pay several thousand zlotys for each of these packages.

Editor’s note from Elektrowozu: Readers have complained to us that shock absorbers with variable damping force are a bad choice because they cause jolting and “software updates don’t help.” We should note, however, that this applies to the Skoda Enyaq. Another point is that the fully equipped Skoda Epiq in First Edition costs 182,350 złoty, and it is a car two segments lower in class, weaker, with poorer interior quality, and shorter range (source).
