PRICES: The Hyundai Ioniq 3 in the Netherlands costs 27,995 euros, while in Poland it would be 122,700 zlotys. It’s cheaper than the Hyundai Kona Electric.

Hyundai’s Dutch branch has revealed the prices for the Hyundai Ioniq 3, a B-segment hatchback set to launch in the Polish market soon. The car starts at 27,995 euros, equivalent to 122,700 Polish zlotys, which is almost exactly 80 percent of the price of the Hyundai Kona Electric. If the same approach were adopted in Poland, the Ioniq 3’s price would begin at just 105,100 zlotys. This is a solid offer for a model with a battery capacity of ~44 (42.2) kWh and a WLTP range of 344 kilometers.

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is part of Hyundai Motor Group’s long-term strategy to fill various market segments with electric vehicles. But now, in 2026, this launch is interesting because other companies already have responses. There’s the smaller Fiat Grande Panda (4 meters compared to the Ioniq 3’s 4.155–4.17 meters) with a 44 (43.8) kWh battery and a range of 320 WLTP units, priced at 109,000 złotys. There’s also the similar Kia EV2 with a 44 (42.2) kWh battery, priced at 99,900 złotys, but it has a shorter range of 308–317 WLTP units due to its higher body design.

There is finally the theoretically most direct competitor, the VW ID. Polo. The problem is that it is currently only available with a larger 55 (52) kWh battery and a range of 454 WLTP units. The larger package with advanced features comes at a steep price: 154,290 zlotys. The smaller battery version with the basic Trend equipment is set to cost 99,900 zlotys and should be available starting mid-July, but... it isn’t.

Among the models listed, the Hyundai Ioniq 3 may have the greatest range with a smaller battery (Standard Range) and the highest overall range thanks to the optional ~64 (61) kWh package, achieving up to 497 WLTP units (Long Range). A slight surprise emerges only upon closer inspection of the specifications: the smaller battery is paired with a more powerful engine (107.8 kW/147 hp, 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds), while the larger battery powers an engine with 99.5 kW/135 hp, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds.

The prices for the Hyundai Ioniq 3 Long Range start at 31,995 euros in the Netherlands, which is equivalent to 140,300 Polish zlotys.

The Ioniq 3 now comes with a new software version called Pleos Connect, which is based on the Android Automotive system. It is also expected to offer a fairly wide range of options, including even ventilated seats, though it’s hard to say whether we can afford them within a price of 160,000 złoty.
