PRICES: Audi A2 e-tron starting at 38,200 euros, about 170,800 zł for the battery ~52 (50) kWh? Maximum range is better than that of the VW ID.3 Neo

Audi has announced the base price for the Audi A2 e-tron in the German market. The compact electric vehicle (segment C) with a 125 kW/170 HP engine and a basic battery is set to cost starting at 38,200 euros, which is equivalent to 170,800 Polish zlotys. The VW ID.3 Neo in its most luxurious Style trim, equipped with the same engine and an LFP battery with a capacity of around 52 (50) kWh, costs roughly the same amount—38,895 euros. Therefore, we assume that the technical specifications of the Audi A2 e-tron will be identical.

Power and battery capacity
Price and trim levels
We chose the best-equipped VW ID.3 Neo for comparison not by chance, as its specifications and price range suggest that Volkswagen Group might return to its old strategy of positioning Audi just before the end of the Volkswagen lineup, so that customers seeking “something more” at a VW dealership can be directed to an adjacent Audi store.

Power and battery capacity
The Audi A2 e-tron is built on the latest version of the MEB platform, MEB+ RWD, meaning it features rear-wheel drive, one-pedal driving, the ability to power external devices (V2L), and even reverse energy flow. According to German sources, the car will be available with engines producing 125 kW/170 hp, 140 kW/190 hp, 170 kW/231 hp, and 240 kW/326 hp. The weakest version may be paired with a ~52 (50) kWh LFP battery, while more powerful versions could get a 62 (58) kWh battery; the two highest-powered models will likely use an 84 (79) kWh battery package, as is the case with other MEB vehicles.

Audi initially states that the maximum WLTP range for the A2 e-tron will be 649 units (VW ID.3 Neo = up to 627 units). This translates to 545 kilometers in urban or urban-suburban driving mode, 389 kilometers at 120 km/h, 299 kilometers at 140 km/h with the battery drained to zero [preliminary calculations by Elektrowozu]. On highways, this means driving time of over 3 hours before reaching the next charging stop. We assume this maximum range applies to the version with a 170 kW engine and an 84 (79) kWh battery.
Price and trim levels
The price listed for the Audi A2 e-tron refers to the base 125 kW version, which is expected to come standard with features such as LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, ambient lighting, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, and navigation. The 140 kW version will additionally include standard features like seat and steering wheel heating, an electric trunk lid, and automatically dimming mirrors, while the 170 kW variant will feature matrix adaptive headlights, a heat pump, 360-degree cameras, and enhanced (Plus) parking and driving assistants.
A premium audio system (Sonos) and a head-up display (HUD) will be standard in the top-tier 240 kW version. The car’s launch is scheduled for fall 2026, and we gathered additional insights about the model yesterday based on covered prototypes.
