BOW: Stellantis Pro One showcases an autonomous delivery vehicle

Stellantis Pro One showcased at the IAA Transportation includes BOW (Box on Wheels), an autonomous electric delivery vehicle designed to test new approaches for urban operations. This concept vehicle was developed in collaboration with UQI Robotics and is intended to serve as a platform for a deeply integrated ecosystem.

Stellantis Pro One and UQI Robotics are collaborating on autonomous delivery solutions. At the IAA Transportation in Hannover, the jointly developed concept vehicle BOW — short for “Box-on-Wheels” — will be unveiled to the public for the first time. It was designed for urban logistics and commercial customers. The initiative aims to address the evolving needs of logistics companies and develop new approaches for last-mile delivery.

The BOW concept vehicle is designed as a fully electric and autonomous logistics vehicle, specifically created for urban delivery tasks and last-mile distribution. Beyond its basic transportation function, the vehicle is intended to act as an integrated logistics platform to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Stellantis Pro One for BOW lists potential use cases that include not only urban deliveries but also enclosed areas such as industrial zones, airports, hospitals, and regions with strict access restrictions or low emission limits. However, Stellantis Pro One and UQI Robotics have not yet released specific technical specifications regarding battery capacity, range, payload capacity, or the sensors used.

BOW and beyond: Stellantis will build an ecosystem

The partnership encompasses not only the concept vehicle BOW but is designed to go further. Stellantis Pro One brings its industry experience in commercial vehicles along with an understanding of the operational needs of professional users. UQI Robotics contributes technological expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous systems. UQI Robotics is a joint venture founded in 2020 by UBTECH and Miracle Automation, drawing on experience from deployments across more than 60 cities worldwide.

In the initial phase, the geographical focus of the validation efforts is on Europe. The goal is to evaluate how autonomous logistics, electrification, connectivity, and supporting services can be integrated into a unified solution for future logistics operations. As the project progresses, expanding to international markets will also be considered.

Part of the “FaSTLAne 2030” Strategy

Stellantis Pro One also plans to develop a comprehensive support framework for customers. This framework is intended to include services, fleet integration, and business solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting more sustainable delivery models. This development is also part of Stellantis’ “FaSTLAne 2030” strategy, which connects customer-focused technologies with strategic industry partnerships.

Together, we aim to develop a truly groundbreaking approach for the light commercial vehicle sector and transform the vehicle’s role from a mere means of transport into an integrated logistics platform that can help operators improve efficiency, productivity, and sustainability."
