Bosch is making significant efforts to stay ahead of the competition, regularly introducing improvements to its top-tier engines: Performance Line CX-R, Performance Line CX, and Performance Cargo Line.

Traction control: like in the best cars

Traction control is now available in other models from various brands, and Bosch has decided to incorporate it into its top-tier engines as well. What sets it apart is the ability to customize its performance even for each power delivery mode, allowing us to achieve a setup that perfectly fits our needs.

This traction control system regulates the motor torque to prevent the wheel from losing grip. The best part is that we can adjust it before each ride. If the terrain we’re facing (due to rain or extreme dryness) has poor traction, we can maximize the traction control setting.

If, on the contrary, we expect terrain with high grip, we can reduce it to a minimum or even turn it off. There are four allowed levels: disabled, low, medium, and high.

Drivetrain Tensioner: a new concept in eBikes

There might be something similar in the competition for adjusting motor power delivery, but with this specific name, nothing exists. Bosch’s newly released Drivetrain Tensioner allows power delivery to be extremely direct and proportional to pedaling.

Bosch itself explains it best: "The Drivetrain Tensioner ensures proper power transmission and thus reduces the free play of the pedal. In this way, the Drive Unit converts your pedaling force directly into propulsion." This feature is disabled by default, but we can enable it individually for each power assistance mode in Bosch’s eBike Flow app.

A quick glance at the remaining battery charge time

Starting now, on all displays (except the Intuvia 100), as soon as we connect the bike to charge, the battery’s charging status will be displayed directly — which is very practical for keeping an eye on its charge level. As before, we’ll see the percentage charged, plus a new feature: the remaining charging time in hours and minutes. For more information: Bosch
