Bonus charging stations: doubts about dates and statements

Bonus for charging stations always causes problems. Aside from those excluded for installing before June 26, 2026, and those who bought a charging station outside the GSE list, not to mention those who received a wallbox as a gift but still paid a high price for the connection system, there are also those complaining about bank receipt issues. Stefano explains how the deadline for submitting applications works, especially for those who buy in 2026 but install in 2027. Vaielettrico responds by asking us to write to them at info@vaielettrico.it
I buy in 2026, install in 2027?
Stefano writes to us to emphasize that «If the invoices from the electrician, plumber, builder, etc. fall between 2026 and 2027, the bonus must be requested in 2027. If all invoices are from 2026 but the work was completed in 2027, the bonus is still requested in 2027. In practice, the year relevant for the bonus is the one of the DICO certificate confirming that the installation was completed, since the invoice can also be settled much earlier». In short, according to Stefano, it’s possible to cross over years—meaning if something is purchased in 2026 and installed in 2027, the request is valid for 2027.
“What if I have an online account abroad and can’t wait for the quarterly statement?”
This is the first point; then Stefano asks, “You really need to clarify this damned statement of account! The decree requires that a current account statement be attached, but what if someone doesn’t have it yet since the bank issues it every 3 months? I got the wallbox at the beginning of October, and I won’t see the expense on my statement until January 2027 when the funds are exhausted. The ministry clarifies that in the absence of a statement of account, a stamped and signed list of transactions by a bank officer is acceptable, but we’re in 2026.”
And so what? “Many Italians have online accounts with banks that don’t have physical branches and/or are located in the Netherlands or something like that. In these cases, it becomes impossible to get a stamped and signed list. Invitalia states that the ‘receipt’ isn’t accepted, but Why? Because according to them it’s issued by the seller and not a third party, so no receipt = no invoice with confirmation. What about the transfer receipt? Even that’s not accepted because it’s a procedure that may not have been completed successfully. This, in 2026, is absolutely disgusting. Want to add anything else? They reject your request? You’re screwed… you can’t even try again the following year. I wish I had the money to hire a lawyer because something like this is grotesque.”
What Invitalia Responded
Response – Gian Basilio Nieddu: We asked Invitalia, which clearly explained the “temporal stagger.” “If purchased after June 26, 2026, but installed in 2027, the 2027 subsidy can be requested.” What’s the point of that? It might be useful for those who install it in a condominium unit and must wait for approval from the community meeting. As Invitalia emphasizes, be careful: “If it’s installed in 2026, the application can be submitted this year; the deadline for submitting applications is January 31, 2027, but it cannot be requested in 2027, as the eligibility depends on the year of installation.” A clear answer.

We move on to the statement. If it’s not possible to obtain a current account statement in a timely manner, a decree provides an alternative: “A list of transactions bearing the credit institution’s stamp and the signature of the authorized officer on each page is acceptable, confirming the validity of the submitted documents.” We have personally seen that this document can be obtained in just a few minutes. But Stefano is referring to online accounts. Some of these involve a bank with a physical branch or representative office that can be contacted; even if the bank is entirely digital, it is possible to request a document with manual validation (signature and stamp). There should be a solution for everyone. But Stefano is right—it’s a complication. Unnecessary.
