The Avatr 06T is being tested in the United Kingdom. China’s competitor, Zeekra, is preparing an RHD version.

The Avatr 06T in the right-hand drive version was spotted during tests in the UK, at Cambridge Services. This is another sign that the brand is genuinely preparing to enter RHD markets, rather than just including them on slides.
The manufacturer plans to launch the 06T in Thailand by the end of this year, with entry into the UK, Australia, and other left-hand drive countries slated for 2027. This is interesting news for Europeans, as this model could end up being priced very close to the Zeekr 7GT.
The Avatr 06T already has an RHD version, and this isn’t the first model of its kind from the brand.
The car was photographed during test drives in the UK. This stage usually means fine-tuning the vehicle for local road conditions, obtaining homologation, and meeting drivers’ everyday needs. In other words, things have moved far beyond just renders and conferences.
The 06T is the third Avatr developed as an RHD model. The Avatr 07 and Avatr 11 followed this path earlier. In May, the Avatr 07 was already seen in tests in Melbourne, indicating that the brand is clearly pursuing expansion across multiple markets simultaneously.
The 06T itself is positioned as an electric shooting brake with a sporty flair. In China, the range is extensive. The top-tier Performance version features three engines, delivering 712 kW and 996 Nm of torque, along with an 87.3 kWh LFP battery and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.78 seconds. It looks impressive, at least on paper.
Below that is the Max version, which comes with two AWD engines, offering 502 kW of power and 750 Nm of torque. The base Elite model also has all-wheel drive and provides 450 kW of power. There’s also an EREV version with a 1.5 turbo engine, a 45.1 kWh battery, and a system power output of 370 kW. The manufacturer claims an electric range of 300 km according to CLTC standards, with a total range of up to 1,200 km. However, one should remain cautious here, as CLTC figures and real-world driving conditions are two different things.
Price Could Hit Zeekr 7GT
So far, only the battery variant has been confirmed for Thailand. Avatr hasn’t revealed which versions will go to the UK and Australia. This is important because there’s a significant difference in performance, which also affects the price.
In China, the Avatr 06T Performance starts at 279,900 yuan, or about $41,600. That’s 36,000 yuan more than the top-tier Zeekr 7GT. Both cars fall within the same Chinese segment of electric shooting brakes priced at 200,000–300,000 yuan.
The Zeekr 7GT entered 16 European markets in July 2026. Prices start at 45,990 euros, the Long Range RWD version costs 50,990 euros, and the AWD Launch Edition is priced at 57,490 euros. If Avatr indeed sets the 06T price in Europe around 46,000 euros, we can expect a direct competition between these two Chinese electric coupes. And without a dumping price, as this model is already positioned in the premium segment.
Inside, the 06T also aims for a high-end experience: a 35.4-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central display, optional 6.7-inch digital mirrors, and in higher trims, Meridian audio with 25 speakers, seats adjustable in 14 directions, along with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
If Avatr sets its European price close to that of the Zeekr, it won’t be just performance that determines success but also brand reputation and trust. Would you buy the 06T instead of the 7GT if their prices were similar?
