In Correggio, charging spots are occupied by bike racks
"Dear Vaielettrico editorial team, I would like to report an issue I encountered at the charging station located in Piazzale 2 agosto, in the town of Correggio (RE). On September 23, 2026, around 11:30, I noticed that the Enel X Way charging column had both of its charging spots occupied by a bicycle rack. Since the parking area is quite large and there is only that one charging column, couldn’t the rack have been placed elsewhere? I have attached photos. Best regards," Antonio Belli
"Are you surprised that so few people buy electric cars in Italy? The problem is that there’s no respect for those who drive them. In fact, there’s often hostility and sarcasm. This is what someone who travels to Milan for work frequently says, finding it difficult to charge at A2A stations surrounded by parked cars, bikes, and motorcycles. Answer. Those in power have always viewed electric cars as a luxury for bored rich people. They therefore deserve no protection. Even at post offices, charging stations are often used for other purposes, undermining Poste Italiane’s efforts to install chargers even in the most remote branches. The problem is that, as rightly pointed out in the letter from Milan, those who misuse these spaces are almost never punished (removal could be an option). And the question we’ve always asked is: what would happen if someone parked in front of a gas pump, preventing it from being used? Well…
