The Audi RS 5 is quite powerful, but it wasn’t powerful enough for ABT.

It seems that for the Germans at ABT, the 639 horsepower of the new Audi RS 5 was not enough. The result was the RS 5-R.
The RS 5 was the first Audi RS to adopt a plug-in hybrid setup, but it still fell victim to the tradition of being improved by the German ABT Sportsline.
The upgrades start under the hood. Through modifications to the electronic management system of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and the electric motor, the combined maximum power rose to an impressive 720 horsepower, with torque reaching 905 Nm—81 horsepower and 80 Nm more than the original model.
But ABT didn’t stop at the engine. There’s a new carbon fiber aerodynamic package featuring a front diffuser, side skirts, wheel arch extensions, a rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. The 22-inch forged wheels and lowered suspension complete the exterior design.

The total production will be limited to 130 units, each with a numbered plate and interior finishes specific to it.
As for the price, the customization starts at 62,000 euros for the Limousine and 65,000 euros for the Avant. To this amount must be added the installation cost of 7,160 euros for the Limousine and 7,600 euros for the Avant, plus, of course, the price of the Audi RS 5 itself. In Portugal, the price starts at 126,276 euros and rises to 128,226 euros for the wagon version.
