Audi A2 e-tron: New teasers ahead of the world premiere

Audi has released new teaser images of the upcoming A2 e-tron on Instagram, revealing more details about this compact electric vehicle that has not yet been fully shown. The images highlight features such as a high-mounted silhouette, short overhangs, a split rear window, a narrow light strip at the back, and divided headlights at the front.
The world premiere of the A2 e-tron is set to take place soon. Audi announced the A2 e-tron in March as a new all-electric entry into its compact class. Initial technical specifications were released in August. For the version with 140 kW/190 hp and an optional efficiency package, the manufacturer cites a preliminary WLTP fuel consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km. The drag coefficient in this configuration is 0.24. Aerodynamic measures are designed to reduce WLTP fuel consumption by up to 0.9 kWh/100 km compared to a vehicle with identical specifications but without these measures.
The powertrain includes a permanently excited synchronous machine and power electronics with silicon carbide semiconductors. Audi uses a lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) in cell-to-pack configuration for the currently described 140-kW version. The manufacturer states a gross energy capacity of 61 kWh and a net energy capacity of 58 kWh. The battery pack can be charged at up to 105 kW at a DC fast charging station. Charging from 10% to 80% is said to take less than 30 minutes. Official WLTP range and prices are not yet available.
According to the manufacturer, the features include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H). This allows the A2 e-tron to power external devices or feed energy from its traction battery back into a home electrical system equipped for it. Vehicle-to-Home is set to be available first in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and it requires a compatible charging station. For private users, this expands the battery’s uses beyond simple charging and driving, provided the necessary home and charging infrastructure is available.
The A2 e-tron is produced in Ingolstadt and expands Audi’s electric lineup for the first time with a model family explicitly labeled as an entry-level series in the compact class. The premium brand has announced that the new series will be available for ordering in the fall of 2026. Initial deliveries are set to begin this year, according to the manufacturer.
