The Audi A2 e-tron is now officially here. We know all the details, except for the price.

Just this morning, we mainly knew about the production version of the Audi A2 e-tron through leaks. Unmasked photos appeared online along with details on several powertrain and battery options. Now the car has been officially presented, allowing us to verify previous reports.
Most of them turned out to be correct. Audi confirmed four power trims and three battery sizes. The difference in the previously stated capacities was mainly due to how they were calculated – the leaks referred to usable capacity, while the manufacturer officially provides gross values.
The A2 e-tron also serves as a new entry point into Audi’s electric lineup, below the Q4 e-tron. The car will be produced in Ingolstadt, with the first deliveries expected in December 2026.
Four versions: from 170 to 326 HP
The base A2 e-tron delivers 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque. Higher trims offer 190 HP and 231 Nm, while the most powerful version has 326 HP and 545 Nm of torque.
In all cases, it features a permanent magnet synchronous motor and rear-wheel drive. Audi uses two generations of engines — APP350 and APP550 — depending on the version.
The manufacturer has not yet provided acceleration times or top speeds for the individual variants in the press materials.
Three batteries and up to 646 km
There are three battery options with gross capacities of 52 kWh, 61 kWh, and 84 kWh.
The two smaller batteries use LFP chemistry and a cell-to-pack design, where cells are integrated directly into the battery casing. The largest 84 kWh battery is of the NMC type and is available in the 231 and 326 KM versions.
Audi lists four maximum range figures: 423, 515, 630, and 646 km WLTP, depending on the configuration. The version with 231 HP and an 84 kWh battery has the longest range at up to 646 km. The most powerful version, with 326 HP and the same battery, achieves a range of up to 630 km.
The most fuel-efficient configuration is the A2 e-tron 190 HP with the optional Efficiency package. Its homologated energy consumption drops to 12.8 kWh/100 km.
Charging at 183 kW
The maximum DC fast charging power is 183 kW. Depending on the battery and version, it takes between 24 and 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% capacity.
The A2 e-tron also supports two-way charging. The V2L function allows powering external devices from the car, while V2H enables using the battery as an energy storage source for the home. This latter function will be available initially in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Aerodynamics was one of the priorities
Earlier reports about an air resistance coefficient of 0.24 have also been confirmed.
This is made possible by the nearly fully enclosed chassis, active front air intake, aerodynamic wheels, and solutions to reduce turbulence around the tires. The wheelbase measures 2.77 meters.
The connection to the original A2 extends beyond just the name and distinctive proportions. Similar to the model produced from 2000 to 2005, the new car is primarily designed to minimize energy consumption.
396 liters of trunk space and two large screens
The rear trunk holds 396 liters. With the seats folded down, the space increases to 1336 liters. Models with the largest battery also come equipped with a front trunk that offers 13 liters of storage.
The cabin standard features a pair of screens: an 11.9-inch display in front of the driver and a curved central screen with a 12.8-inch diagonal. The drive selection lever has been moved to the steering column, freeing up more space in the center tunnel for storage compartments and a wireless charger.
The car will also come standard with adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, parking sensors, and a blind spot monitoring system. Optional features include 360-degree cameras, automatic parking, and a function to remember up to five driving maneuvers.
The leak was close to the truth
Before the launch, talks were of battery capacities of 50, 58, and 79 kWh usable capacity, along with power versions of 170, 190, 231, and 326 horsepower. The official presentation thus primarily confirmed the range of models, although Audi lists the gross battery capacities as 52, 61, and 84 kWh.
The maximum range exceeding 600 km was also confirmed, though we now know the exact figure — 646 km WLTP.
Audi will begin accepting orders in the fall of 2026, with the first vehicles arriving at customers in December. So far, the manufacturer has not announced the prices for the A2 e-tron in Poland.
