Audi A2 e-tron: Up to 646 km range, prices starting at 38,200 €
Audi has revealed the prices and range of the A2 e-tron: Four rear-wheel-drive models offer power outputs of 125 to 240 kW, starting at 38,200 euros. Depending on the variant, ranges of up to 646 kilometers under WLTP conditions and a charging capacity of 183 kW are possible.

Just over a month after releasing the first technical details, Audi has fully unveiled the A2 e-tron. This means the range, prices, and various model variants are now confirmed. The electric compact car is available in three battery sizes and four power levels. It will be available for ordering in Germany starting September 10, 2026, with first deliveries scheduled for December.
The base model with 125 kW (170 hp) costs at least 38,200 euros. The highest range is not provided by the top model but by the version with 170 kW (231 hp): combined with an 84-kWh battery, Audi claims up to 646 kilometers of range according to WLTP. The A2 e-tron is produced at the main plant in Ingolstadt.
Four power levels with rear-wheel drive
All versions of the A2 e-tron feature a permanently excited synchronous motor at the rear axle. The three weaker versions each have a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The base model delivers 125 kW (170 hp), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 160 km/h.
The version previously mentioned in the first announcement, with 140 kW (190 hp), ranks above this one. It takes 7.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h and is also limited to 160 km/h. With the optional efficiency package, Audi reports a WLTP fuel consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km for this variant.
The two more powerful models deliver 170 kW (231 hp) and 240 kW (326 hp), respectively. The 170-kW version reaches 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds, while the top model needs 5.7 seconds thanks to its 545 Nm of torque. Only the most powerful version can reach speeds up to 200 km/h; the other three variants are limited to 160 km/h in acceleration.
Audi relies on silicon carbide semiconductors in its power electronics. Polished gears, friction-optimized bearings, and a thinner transmission oil are designed to further reduce losses in the drive system. Three regenerative braking levels are available via switches. A fourth setting enables one-pedal driving until the vehicle comes to a stop.

Three batteries and up to 183 kW charging power
The entry-level model is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery having a gross capacity of 52 kWh. Audi claims up to 423 kilometers of WLTP range for this combination. A maximum of 100 kW is possible at fast charging stations, with the charging process from 10% to 80% taking 24 minutes.
The 140-kW version also features an LFP battery with a gross capacity of 61 kWh. This increases the range to up to 515 kilometers. Charging occurs at a maximum of 105 kW, with Audi stating that it takes 26 minutes to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent. The two smaller batteries are manufactured using a cell-to-pack design, where the cells are integrated directly into the housing without a separate module layer.
The 170-kW and 240-kW variants each use an 84-kWh battery with nickel-manganese-cobalt cells. The maximum DC charging capacity is 183 kW. Despite the significantly higher energy content, it claims to take 29 minutes to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent. The 170-kW model achieves the highest range of up to 646 kilometers. For the more powerful A2 e-tron, Audi specifies a range of up to 630 kilometers.
The A2 e-tron optionally supports two-way charging. Via Vehicle-to-Load, external devices can be powered from the vehicle’s battery as long as their charge level is at least 20 percent. Vehicle-to-Home allows energy to be fed into the home electrical grid using a suitable DC wallbox. This feature will initially be available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, utilizing the battery at levels between 20 and 80 percent.
396 liters of trunk space and digital cockpit
The A2 e-tron has a wheelbase of 2.77 meters and is designed to offer relatively ample space despite its compact exterior dimensions. The trunk holds 396 liters of volume, which increases to 1,336 liters when the rear seatbacks are folded down. The two models equipped with an 84-kWh battery also come standard with a 13-liter front storage compartment.
An optional panoramic glass roof covers an area of 1.6 square meters. The 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus is standard in front of the driver, along with a 12.8-inch touch display. An augmented-reality head-up display is available as an extra cost.
The center console allows two smartphones to be charged inductively simultaneously, with each receiving up to 25 watts of power. Audi also includes three Fidlock system mounting points as standard. Compatible drink holders, bags, and other accessories can be attached using a combination of magnetism and mechanical locking.
Standard features include an adaptive cruise control assistant, a rearview camera, park assist plus, as well as emergency braking, lane-keeping, and attention assistance systems. Audi offers enhanced driving and parking functions in optional technology packages.
Prices range from 38,200 to 51,200 euros
The A2 e-tron with 125 kW and a 52-kWh battery costs at least 38,200 euros in Germany. Audi charges at least 41,900 euros for the version with a 61-kWh battery. The A2 e-tron with 170 kW (231 hp), an 84-kWh battery, and a range of up to 646 kilometers is available starting at 48,900 euros.
The top model with 240 kW (326 hp), 545 Nm of torque, and also an 84-kWh battery capacity costs at least 51,200 euros. Standard features of this version include a suspension with damping control and progressive steering. Wheels ranging in diameter from 18 to 20 inches are available depending on the configuration.
Audi produces the A2 e-tron at its main plant in Ingolstadt on a manufacturing floor covering approximately 110,000 square meters. The body shells for the A2 e-tron are manufactured using flexible production lines alongside those of the Audi A3. According to the company, more than 1,200 existing manufacturing components are utilized, including around 250 robots already used in other models. Depending on the configuration, over 300 vehicle parts also contain recycled materials.
