Taking advantage of a new special edition, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric vehicle features aerodynamic upgrades that increase its range to 415 km.

The electric Renault 4 E-Tech receives an update with improvements affecting its efficiency, equipment, and range of versions, along with a new Roland-Garros special edition. It is available starting at 30,305 euros, though this price can drop to 22,174 euros with financing, promotions, CAE, and benefits from the Auto+ program.

The most significant changes are found in the underbody, which now features new covers, and in the exterior mirrors, whose design has been revised to reduce drag. These are minor modifications but sufficient to improve the vehicle’s overall energy efficiency.

Better aerodynamics and longer range

The Renault 4 E-Tech achieves a range of up to 310 km with the smaller battery and 415 km with the larger capacity battery. The former, known as urban range, retains a capacity of 40 kWh and is paired with an electric motor producing 120 HP. It is available exclusively with the Evolution trim and now has a combined WLTP fuel consumption of 14.7 kWh/100 km, resulting in a range of 310 km.

Above that is the 52 kWh battery, called comfort range, which works alongside a motor producing 150 HP. This configuration delivers a range of 415 kilometers and has a declared fuel consumption of 14.4 kWh/100 km. It can be chosen with the Evolution, Techno, Iconic, and Roland-Garros trims.

But there is an exception: the Plein Sud variants, which feature a retractable canvas roof. Due to their specific aerodynamics, their fuel consumption is slightly higher, reaching up to 14.9 kWh/100 km, with a range of 400 kilometers.

The Renault 4 E-Tech debuts a special Roland-Garros edition

Another major new addition to the range is the special Roland-Garros edition, which is now available for ordering and is distinguished by a unique design inspired by the famous Parisian tennis tournament.

Externally, it is available in a body color of Glacier White, Urban Gray, Gloss Black, or Terracotta Brown, always paired with black side mirrors and roof rails. It also features a silver trim on the front fender with the Roland-Garros emblem, 18-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels, and Terracotta Brown decorative details on both bumpers.

The interior undergoes a more profound transformation, with seats featuring light gray upholstery made entirely from recycled materials and a graphic design inspired by technical sportswear. The side reinforcements and armrests use a blue finish, while the front seats have the Roland-Garros logo engraved in relief. There are also specific inserts on the doors and dashboard, where a backlit area displays the inscription “Roland-Garros Paris”.

References to tennis continue in the center console, with a gear selector whose tip mimics a racket handle, a clay-colored Qi2 wireless charging pad, matching floor mats, and door sills made of brushed aluminum.

More Technology and New Driving Assistants

The update also introduces general improvements across the entire range, such as the manual battery preconditioning function, which allows the system to be prepared before visiting a fast charging station without the need to pre-program a route in a browser, and the My Renault app, which now features a notification system that alerts the user when charging is nearly complete.

In terms of safety, the Renault 4 E-Tech comes equipped with a predictive driving assistant that analyzes the road ahead to anticipate curves and roundabouts, suggesting the driver lift their foot off the accelerator to reduce consumption. It also introduces an emergency stop assistant that can gradually bring the vehicle to a stop if it detects the driver remaining inactive for too long.

The emergency call system eCall is also being updated to be compatible with 4G and 5G networks, and a new Qi2-compatible ventilated wireless charger is included, capable of restoring up to 50% of a phone’s battery in one hour.
