Applause for Trump fighting against electric cars

Applause for Trump opposing the energy transition

"I’m attaching an article against the transition I read in ‘Auto’, where Pierluigi Bonora, director of ACI-Radio, begins by writing, ‘It can be done. Of course, it can—just want to do it.’ He then ends with a ‘Good job, Trump,’ which says a lot. Noteworthy is the box that explains how this approach slows down the development of renewable energy and the electric transition. It also states that such abandonment will have negative effects worldwide. Ironically, the page next to it was an advertisement for a well-known German shipping company that reads, ‘Sustainability is a concrete commitment. The company is testing solutions for low- or zero-emission logistics, with investments in electric mobility and related infrastructure.’ Have a good day." Paoblog (Paolo)

So there’s a panegyric about how the U.S. president reduced the allowed average fuel consumption, allowing poor manufacturers to make a lot of money. And then there’s the usual nonsense about electric cars having opened Europe’s doors to Chinese cars. It’s true that companies like BYD, MG, Geely, etc., are growing month by month, but they do so mainly by selling hybrid and gasoline cars. Why are there tariffs from the hated EU on electric cars? Poor us…
