Tesla’s app version 4.62 with iPad support. The code mentioned rewards for referring others to FSD.

Tesla has released an update to the mobile app version 4.62. It now offers full support for tablets and foldable phones, including the iPad and iPhone Duo, with code indicating plans for an FSD command program and payments via X Money. Support for larger screens is available globally and works with every Tesla model.
iPad: In-car-like visualization
On most screens, the app now occupies the entire width of the device. The vehicle visualization is almost identical to that on the car’s screen, featuring an ambient background and reflections on the paint.
Buttons for opening the trunk or cargo area, charging lids, and locks have been moved to the Quick Actions visualization. The Show PSI button is now located below it rather than in Controls. Not all panels utilize the larger screen yet, but most important ones do: Climate, Location, Self Driving, Summon, and Charging.
Incentives for FSD and X Money payments
The code contains phrases suggesting that Tesla is preparing a referral program. For convincing someone to subscribe to FSD, you’ll get one or several free months of FSD for any vehicle in your account. There are also front and back designs for the “referral coin” that the app will likely display after a successful referral.
The code includes text such as the following (in translation):
“Select the vehicle for which you want to apply the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) trial period.”
“Confirm the vehicle for the reward.”
The second announcement is X Money as a payment method. It would work in Tesla Shop, for paying Supercharging fees, and for FSD subscriptions. Everything stays within Musk’s ecosystem.
Virtual Queue and Shared Wall Connector
Tesla has also improved Virtual Queue. The changes are minor and appear to be final touches before a broader rollout. For now, the feature is being tested in five locations across the U.S.
More interesting is the announcement about making Wall Connector available. Currently, one can share Tesla cars and Tesla Energy installations (Powerwall, solar panels) with other users. Wall Connector cannot be shared separately.
According to the app description, after joining, users can charge from a specific charger and manage its settings. They can also leave at any time, with the owner able to see charging activity, such as session history. Up to five people can join one charger. There’s no longer a need to share the entire installation, which includes the home address and control over Powerwall and panels.
This solution is designed for shared garages, buildings with a single wallbox, or guests staying overnight. Until now, Tesla forced an unnecessary compromise on privacy in such situations.
Will the FSD command program encourage you to recommend the subscription, or is it still too expensive for Polish market conditions?
