Alpine is already a 100% electric brand, and it will arrive at the Paris Motor Show with several surprises

Alpine, the sports brand of the Renault Group, will attend the Paris Motor Show with several new models. Its best-selling model, the A290 (which currently accounts for 70% of the brand’s sales in Normandy), will benefit for the first time from the Atelier Alpine customization program, which includes new colors, trims, and finishes. The A390 crossover will also be part of this initiative.

The event will also be used to introduce the A290 Collection, a new finish available on the GT (180 HP) and GT Performance (220 HP) versions. This edition features a white painted body, black roof, wheel arches matching the vehicle’s main color, 19-inch diamond-cut tires, and silver front brake calipers.

Optionally, the main white tone can be replaced with dark blue. Inside, a new blue/gray color scheme is introduced, along with textured trim and a heated black steering wheel. The Collection version will not come fully equipped out of the box, as customers can also add options such as telematics, a safety package (ADAS), and various decorative elements.

As for the A390, the unit on display (a GTS, currently the top model of the electric crossover) will feature a new paint finish (a matte blue called ‘Bleu Tempêt’) paired with a black roof, Sabelt sports seats covered in gray Nappa leather, 21-inch forged wheels with a ‘pale gold’ finish, and a new matte carbon fiber interior pattern with a checkerboard design.

The electric Alpine A110 will be unveiled next year

Finally, Alpine has confirmed that the Paris Motor Show will be the venue for revealing new details about the upcoming A110, its flagship model. The third generation of this iconic sports car will become 100% electric thanks to the use of the APP platform (Alpine Performance Platform), the same one used in the powerful Renault 5 Turbo 3E.

The electric A110 is expected to have two battery packs (one in the front compartment and another in the rear) with a combined capacity of around 70 kWh. Its propulsion system will consist of two motors (both located on the rear axle). The target weight is approximately 1,450 kg, lower than that of its gasoline-powered competitors. Additionally, it will come in a convertible Spyder version.

Alpine aims to enable the electric A110 to complete three laps around the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in 20 minutes without any loss of power. Preliminary information suggests that, thanks to its 800-volt architecture, it will be able to charge from 15% to 80% in about 15 minutes, making it suitable for track days.
