Electreon presented its new Lite DOT system at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, a wireless charging solution with up to 11 kW capacity for electric cars and light commercial vehicles. This system allows vehicles to be charged while parked, without the need for a physical cable connection, and is based on the wireless charging technology the company already uses in other projects.

It consists of a charging platform installed on the floor of the parking lot, a unit mounted on a wall, and the Electreon Flow mobile app. One of its strengths is its easy installation—the platform requires no extensive excavation work and can be installed in both outdoor areas and garages, while the control unit can be placed on a wall or, outdoors, on a pole. Additionally, to complete the system, only a specific receiver needs to be installed in the vehicle.

Faster and more efficient

Its function is to eliminate user intervention during charging and streamline the entire process: once a compatible vehicle is placed on the platform, the system identifies it and automatically begins energy transfer. In this way, the charging process is integrated into the usual parking time, without the need to handle connectors or cables.

As is typical with wireless solutions, the maximum power of Lite DOT is 11 kW, equivalent to that offered by many current home charging installations, making it suitable for extended stays such as overnight parking before heading back to work the next day. The system is designed to operate both outdoors and in enclosed spaces, and it maintains its functionality in rain and snow as well as within a temperature range of -30 to +50 degrees Celsius.

In addition to simplifying the charging process, the elimination of cables aims to reduce one of the components that suffer the most wear in conventional charging systems. In the case of electric fleets, cables and connectors are used repeatedly throughout the day and are exposed to dirt, weather conditions, and potential damage during maneuvers or parking. With a wireless ecosystem, this source of potential problems is eliminated.

Specially designed for fleets and autonomous vehicles

Although it is a system that an individual can install at home, it is particularly designed for fleet operators where loading and unloading operations occur constantly, as well as for autonomous vehicles, where the absence of a driver makes a physical connection to a connector more complicated or requires a dedicated operator solely for this task.
