Struggling with a severe crisis since 2024, Nissan saw some hope in mid-2025 with the launch of its electric sedan N7. Developed together with Dongfeng, which has already introduced two new SUVs in Spain, it quickly became a best-seller for the Japanese brand, selling over 50,000 units in just 7 months.
A figure that even the current Qashqai has not achieved. This electric sedan N7, which offers up to 635 km of range, turned out to be a true best-seller. Nissan itself can attest to this, as it sold over 10,000 units back in August 2025—specifically, 10,148 units were sold just a year ago.

Nissan’s bestseller secret: 635 km range from 14,350 €
The commercial success of this bestseller, which measures 4.93 meters in length, 1.89 meters in width, and 1.49 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2.91 meters, was so significant that Nissan is considering exporting it to other markets. It has even led to the development of a whole family of electric and hybrid-derived vehicles, such as the electric or EREV NX8 SUV and the plug-in hybrid N6 sedan.
While the Qashqai thrives in Europe and the U.S., setting records for range and fuel efficiency, sales of Nissan’s N7 have plummeted in China over the past few months. For example, last August, just one year after selling 10,000 units per month, only 958 were registered.
Nissan has responded quickly with a minor update that maintains its 635 km range, and as an introductory offer, it has further reduced the price to 109,900 yuan, equivalent to just 14,350 €.
At this price point, Nissan’s best-selling model comes with a 58 kWh battery offering a range of 510 km, but it is also available with a 73 kWh battery that provides the same 635 km range, both under China’s CLTC testing cycle. As for its powertrain, it features a single electric motor from Dongfeng that delivers 200 kW/268 hp to the front wheels.

How is Nissan’s bestseller model updated?
In fact, this Nissan N7, which stands out with a Cx value of only 0.208 — largely responsible for its 635 km range — receives a very minor update.
Neither its futuristic design nor its mechanics change, but now Nissan, even with the price reduced to 14,350 euros, adds new safety systems and more features.
Specifically, we’re talking about improvements to the intelligent driving assistance system — something this best-selling Nissan model achieves through a LiDAR radar and 30 other sensors — as well as the addition of ventilated or heated rear seats; even in its top-of-the-line version, Nissan has included a new electronically controlled suspension that adjusts automatically based on road conditions.
On the outside, Nissan updates the flush door handles to a new semi-flush design and adds a light green shade to the available color palette.
