The Chinese company has just reached 300,000 units produced in total for its B01 and B10 models. These are two relatively affordable electric cars that have played a key role in its expansion over the past few months. It took the B series approximately 18 months to reach this figure, making it Leapmotor’s fastest-growing model line to hit 300,000 units.

The Leapmotor B10 went on sale in April 2025, while the B01 was added to the lineup in July of the same year. Both were developed with the goal of bringing Leapmotor’s technology to higher-volume market segments, currently priced at around 100,000 yuan in China (approximately 12,885 euros at the exchange rate), though prices in Europe are significantly higher.

The two models also received a significant update last July. Leapmotor introduced an 800-volt electric architecture with fast charging in its higher-end versions, capable of delivering 210 kW and charging the battery from 30% to 80% in about 16 minutes. Depending on the configuration, the B01 can achieve a range of up to 670 km, while the B10 can reach 610 km, according to China’s CLTC testing cycle.

Its importance within Leapmotor, however, goes far beyond the specifications. The brand delivered 103,129 vehicles worldwide in August, an 80.7% increase from the previous year, and it was the second consecutive month it exceeded 100,000 units. In China, the B10 saw 8,831 deliveries that month, while the B01 had 5,009, totaling nearly 14,000 cars between the two.

They are not currently Leapmotor’s best-selling models in its domestic market. That title belongs to the A10, which alone accounted for 30,652 units in August. But the key difference lies in the international nature of the B Series, and especially the B10, which was designed from the start as one of the company’s main global products.

The B10 sells almost as well outside China as it does inside

The Leapmotor B10 is currently sold in over 40 countries and regions, with more than 60,000 units sold outside of China. According to the company, no other model in its history has reached such international sales figures so quickly. In August alone, it surpassed 20,000 global units sold, of which over 10,000 were in overseas markets. Essentially, one out of every two B10s sold that month ended up outside of China.

Europe is becoming particularly important. In the first half of 2026, Leapmotor claims that the B10 was the best-selling electric compact SUV from a Chinese brand on our continent, leading its category among Chinese manufacturers in markets such as Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland. Its expansion relies heavily on its partnership with Stellantis and the sales network both companies are developing together.

Spain provides a good example. In July, the Leapmotor B10 was the most registered 100% electric sedan in our market, with 506 units accounting for 4.7% of sales. Another 350 units were registered in August, enough to lead the electric C-SUV segment and make it the third best-selling electric sedan of the month. In the first eight months of 2026, Leapmotor accumulated 4,431 registrations in Spain, which is a 200% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

The company’s international expansion does not aim to rely solely on exporting cars manufactured in China. Leapmotor already has production facilities in China, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malaysia, while advancing its European industrial plans alongside Stellantis. Spain is part of this strategy, and the plant in Figueruelas, Zaragoza, is set to play a key role in locally producing the company’s models.
