Iveco Bus unveiled the eFLEXY in Madrid during FIAA 2026, held at IFEMA from September 22 to 24. It is a new compact electric minibus that expands the brand’s lineup in zero-emission passenger transport: it falls within the M2 segment, has a length under six meters, and weighs less than five tons. First deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

It will be available in two configurations, named City and Line, designed for different uses. The eFLEXY City is intended for urban services, especially those with frequent passenger boarding and alighting, whereas the eFLEXY Line is geared toward regular services, intercity transportation, shuttle services, and on-demand routes.

Two versions to choose from

The differences between the two mainly lie in their interior layout and the type of service they are designed for. The eFLEXY City can carry up to 17 passengers in addition to the driver, but among the available configurations there is one adapted for people with limited mobility, featuring nine seating positions, two standing passengers, and space for a wheelchair. This version also includes a rear lift platform to facilitate access.

The eFLEXY Line can accommodate up to 13 passengers in addition to the driver, but it can also be configured with 11 seats or in an accessible layout that provides eight seats and space for a wheelchair. Its features include individual seats with seat belts and integrated headrests, a completely flat floor, and an electric side step connected to the sliding door.

In terms of technology, it features level 2 driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, traffic jam assist, lane centering, intelligent speed assistance, blind spot monitoring, driver distraction alert, and a rear camera. Key optional extras include a digital mirror and 360-degree parking sensors. Additionally, it offers digital services related to vehicle and fleet management, including IVECO ON Access, the Easy App, uptime monitoring, remote charging management, and eRange Assurance.

A single electric motor available

The model features an electric propulsion system with 205 kW (275 HP) and a 110 kWh battery, offering an advertised range of 300 km per charge. The system supports AC charging at 7.4, 11, and 22 kW, while DC charging allows up to 150 kW of power. With DC charging, the battery can go from 20% to 80% in about 45 minutes and regain up to 100 kilometers of range in roughly 15 minutes.

"With the eFlexy Line and eFlexy City ranges, Iveco Bus expands its zero-emission vehicle offering to a segment that holds strategic importance for operators: compact, accessible, and flexible passenger transport. Available in City and Line versions, this new series of electric minibuses covers a wide range of everyday applications, from urban routes to on-demand services and shuttle operations, helping our customers implement their decarbonization strategies," said Giorgio Zino, Director of Commercial Operations for Iveco Bus in Europe, according to Electrive.
