Geely has just confirmed the arrival in Europe of one of its most impressive vehicles. It is the new Battleship 700, a large-sized plug-in hybrid SUV that was recently launched in China and has received extraordinary commercial success. Within the first 12 minutes of its official launch on October 10, the manufacturer received over 10,000 confirmed orders. This figure adds to the 43,900 reservations recorded during the first hour of its pre-order period, which began in September.

The Chinese company used the 2026 Paris Motor Show to confirm that this model will also be available in Europe during the second half of 2027. Known in its home market as the Geely Galaxy Zhanjian 700 and developed under the code KO11, this SUV is positioned as a competitor to other Chinese electric SUVs, including the BYD Fang Cheng Bao Ti7. It offers a robust design, excellent performance, and an electric range that is uncommon for a vehicle of this class.

The Battleship 700 is developed on the GTA (Geely Terrain Architecture) platform, designed specifically for electric vehicles of this type. Its body measures 5,085 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,912 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Its design features square shapes, prominent wheel tracks, and a spare tire located on the rear hatch. It also has a ground clearance of 233 mm and steering angles of 30 degrees and a turning radius of 31 degrees, respectively.

The cabin accommodates 5 passengers and has a trunk volume of 1,050 liters. Its most notable features include a 15.4-inch central multimedia screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and an additional screen for the passenger. It can also be equipped with massage functions in the front seats, a 18.5-liter integrated refrigerator, and a 23-speaker sound system. In terms of driver assistance, it features the G-Pilot H7 system, which uses a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof and a processor with a computing power of 700 TOPS.

Up to 1,113 horsepower and over 300 kilometers of electric range

The mechanical lineup of the Geely Battleship 700 consists of 3 plug-in hybrid versions. The entry-level model combines a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver 469 horsepower and 605 Nm of peak torque. Above it is another configuration featuring the same internal combustion engine plus 3 electric motors, boosting total power to 925 horsepower. Finally, the most powerful variant uses a 2.0 turbo gasoline engine and 3 electric motors to achieve 1,113 horsepower and 1,330 Nm of torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.95 seconds.

All versions use a CATL LFP chemistry battery with a capacity of 47 kWh, enabling an electric range of up to 305 kilometers. The announced combined range exceeds 1,770 kilometers, while the fast charging system allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes. Additional off-road features include adjustable air suspension and an emergency float mode that keeps the vehicle moving on water at speeds of up to 7 km/h for a maximum of 40 minutes.

For now, Geely has only confirmed that the Battleship 700 will arrive in Europe during the second half of 2027, without specifying which countries it will be available in or the versions that will be part of its lineup. Its European prices are also unknown, though its outstanding initial reception in China suggests a model the manufacturer aims to use to expand its international presence in the segment of large plug-in hybrid SUVs.
