Holiday itinerary
Eight days behind the mountains: Braganca, Miranda do Douro, the International Douro gorges, Freixo de Espada a Cinta, Vila Real as a gate. Tesla in Vila Real; Galp in Braganca. The plateau eats range.
Season: Year-round. Plateau winters are serious; ice on Miranda roads into March. Almond blossom February-March. Summer heat on the gorge rim.
