Holiday itinerary

Eight days of lagoon and swell: Obidos, Nazare, Peniche, Berlenga by boat, Alcobaca, Batalha. Tesla in Caldas da Rainha and Leiria; the walls of Obidos are walking walls.

Season: Year-round. Nazare giant swell typically October-March; the lighthouse road can close. Berlenga boats May-September. Obidos is packed in July.

  3. Day 5 · Peniche

    A peninsula of surf. Overnight Tesla in Leiria on the way.

  4. Day 6 · Batalha

    Stone that won a battle. A quiet night.

  5. Day 8 · Obidos

    Last look at the walls. The swell is still in the rear-view.
