Holiday itinerary
Eleven days from Skopje through Matka canyon hush, Tetovo and Popova Šapka mountain viewpoints, Mavrovo lake and forest light, UNESCO Ohrid and Kaneo cliff church, Saint Naum spring monasteries, Bitola old-town lanes, Pelister and Dihovo scenic stops, then Prilep and Treskavec pull-offs before a soft return to the capital. ECS and local operators where present, Tesla Destination or hotel wallbox when you can book; the network is thinner in the western mountains and around the lakes — cool battery, daylight legs, unhurried lake and highland rhythm.
Season: Best May to October. Lake and mountain weather shifts fast; book overnight ECS, Tesla Destination or hotel wallbox in Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola and Mavrovo when you can. Charge before Matka, Pelister and Treskavec hops — cool battery, daylight departure; the network is thinner in the western highlands.

- Day 1 · Skopje
Stone Bridge light and the first mountain hush beyond the Vardar: old bazaar colour, fortress ridge walk, and evening cafes under the plane trees. Walk the Kale belvederes and the quiet pull-offs toward Matka if daylight remains. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox near the centre.
- Day 2 · Matka
Canyon hush above the turquoise lake: cliff trails, monastery stone on the shore, and soft evening colour on the water. Take a short boat or walk the rim belvederes; cool the battery after the canyon hop. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 3 · Tetovo
Painted mosque colour and Popova Šapka mountain viewpoints: Shar ridge light opens above the town, meadow pull-offs on the climb, and soft late colour toward the peaks. Charge after about 20 percent. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 4 · Mavrovo
Lake mirror under forested slopes: national-park hush, village lanes by the water, and evening colour on the dam road belvederes. Walk short shore paths; cool the battery after the highland hop. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 5 · Ohrid
UNESCO lake town and Kaneo cliff church: turquoise water under the mountains, cobbled lanes of the old quarter, and soft evening light on the boardwalk. Climb for the amphitheatre of roofs; pull off at the lakeside belvederes. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 6 · Ohrid
Second Ohrid day for Saint Naum spring monasteries, clear peacocks by the water, and unhurried southern shore pull-offs. Linger for late light on the springs; charge after about 22 percent before the hop toward Bitola.
- Day 7 · Bitola
Širok Sokak evening light and Pelister foothill hush: Ottoman and neoclassical facades, cafe shade under the plane trees, and soft colour toward the mountains. Walk the old-town lanes; overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 8 · Dihovo
Pelister stone villages and highland meadow viewpoints: pine hush above Bitola, quiet lanes of Dihovo, and late light on the Baba mountain slopes. Pull off at every scenic spur; charge after about 20 percent. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 9 · Prilep
Tobacco-town hush and Treskavec monastery pull-offs: Marko towers on the ridge, plain light toward the Pelagonia fields, and soft evening on the approach road. Climb for the amphitheatre of stone; cool the battery after the inland hop. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 11 · Skopje
Last evening on the Stone Bridge. Ohrid lake light and Pelister pine hush are still in the rear-view; a final ECS closes the loop.
