Holiday itinerary

Eight days of chalk cellars and harvest light: Reims, Epernay Avenue de Champagne, Hautvillers, Troyes, the Marne. Tesla and Ionity on the A4; cellar visits are walking visits.

Season: Year-round cellars. Harvest September. Christmas markets in Reims and Troyes.

Holiday itinerary

  1. Day 1 · Reims

    The cathedral still holds the coronation light. Tesla overnight.

  2. Day 3 · Epernay

    Avenue de Champagne under plane trees. Destination charger; cellars are under the street.

  3. Day 5 · Troyes

    Timber houses that lean into each other. Ionity on the way in at 24 percent.

  4. Day 6 · Hautvillers

    Dom Perignon's hill. Charge in Epernay; the village is a walk.

  5. Day 8 · Reims

    Last Tesla. The chalk is still under the city.
