Holiday itinerary
Nine slow days south of the Alps: Locarno, Valle Verzasca, Valle Maggia, Ascona, Lugano, Morcote, the Gandria road. Tesla in Lugano; GOFAST in Locarno; the valley lanes eat range.
Season: Year-round. High valley heads hold snow into April. August storms on the lakes; May-June and September are kinder.
