Eight days of river and abbey: Schaffhausen, the Rhine Falls, Stein am Rhein, the Swiss Untersee, Kreuzlingen, St. Gallen UNESCO. Tesla in St. Gallen and Schaffhausen; the falls are a walk from Neuhausen.
Season: Year-round. The falls run hardest after snowmelt April-June. Abbey library tickets book ahead in summer. Untersee ferries thinner in winter.
