Holiday itinerary
Twelve days from Tirana through Kruja castle hill light, Lake Shkodra reed hush, the Accursed Mountains of Theth with valley pull-offs, then UNESCO Berat and Gjirokaster stone towns, Llogara pass viewpoints, the Riviera coast of Himare and Dhermi, Porto Palermo bay and a soft close via Vlore before the capital. ECS and local operators where present, Tesla Destination or hotel wallbox when you can book; the network is thinner than Western Europe — cool battery, daylight legs, unhurried mountain and sea rhythm.
Season: Best May to October. Mountain and Riviera weather shifts fast; book overnight ECS, Tesla Destination or hotel wallbox in Tirana, Shkoder, Berat, Gjirokaster and Vlore when you can. Charge before Theth and Llogara hops — cool battery, daylight departure; the network is thinner inland and on the coast outside cities.

- Day 1 · Tirana
Bazaar colour and the first mountain hush beyond the boulevards: Skanderbeg square light, the Pyramid silhouette, and evening cafes under the plane trees. Walk the Block neighbourhood lanes and the quiet pull-offs toward Dajti if the cable car is open. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox near the centre.
- Day 2 · Kruja
Castle hill above the olive slopes: Skanderbeg museum light, the bazaar lane of copper and kilims, and a panorama that opens toward the Adriatic haze. Pull off at the fortress ramparts and the quiet belvederes on the approach road. Charge after about 20 percent. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 3 · Shkoder
Lake Shkodra reed light and Rozafa fortress stone: mirror water at golden hour, the old-town lanes, and soft evening toward the Albanian Alps road. Take a short lakeside walk or boat if the wind is kind; pull off at the fortress viewpoints. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 4 · Theth
Accursed Mountains open with valley hush and limestone peaks: the Blue Eye spring path, the lock-in tower stone, and meadow light under the pines. Pull off at every rim belvedere on the approach; cool the battery after the mountain climb. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 5 · Theth
Second Alps day for unhurried meadow walks, waterfall paths and late colour on the cliffs. Linger at the scenic pull-offs toward Valbona if the pass is open; charge after about 22 percent before the return toward Shkoder or the ferry road.
- Day 6 · Berat
UNESCO town of a thousand windows above the Osum: white Ottoman houses on the hillside, the fortress ridge walk, and evening light on the river bridges. Climb for the amphitheatre of roofs; pull off at the belvederes on the approach. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 7 · Gjirokaster
Stone-roof old town and fortress above the Drino valley: cobbled lanes, Ottoman tower houses, and a panorama that softens toward the mountains. Wander the bazaar street and the castle ramparts; cool the battery after the inland hop. Overnight hotel wallbox if bookable.
- Day 8 · Himare
Llogara pass viewpoints open the Riviera: cliff-edge belvederes, pine hush above the sea, then Himare waterfront light and soft evening on the bay. Stop at every hairpin that opens the Ionian horizon. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 9 · Himare
Second Riviera day for Porto Palermo castle bay, Dhermi pebble shore and unhurried coastal pull-offs. Linger for late light on the water; charge after about 20 percent before the hop toward Vlore.
- Day 10 · Vlore
Where the Adriatic meets the Ionian in soft harbour light: Independence square calm, the long waterfront, and evening colour toward the Karaburun silhouette. Pull off at coastal viewpoints before the capital return. Overnight ECS or hotel wallbox.
- Day 12 · Tirana
Last evening under the plane trees of the capital. Alps valley hush and Riviera cliff light are still in the rear-view; a final ECS closes the loop.
