The new generation MAN eTGX tractor will have a range of up to 720 km.

MAN Truck & Bus will unveil the world premiere of its next-generation electric long-haul tractor, the eTGX, at the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition in Hanover. The cab features a front section that is 120 mm longer to meet new dimensional standards, which improves aerodynamics and passive safety. The use of larger batteries (+10%) and a more efficient regenerative braking system (+20%) has increased the tractor’s efficiency by 3%, according to “Камиони”.

The standard 4x2 tractor is equipped with six battery packs rated at 552 kWh, offering a range of up to 660 km. A 6x2 version will soon be available, capable of being fitted with seven battery packs (644 kWh), enabling a range of 720 km without recharging. The ultra-fast MCS charging system, with a power output of 750 kW and already installed on MAN’s production electric trucks starting in July 2026, allows the batteries to be charged in just 30 minutes.

Special attention was given to improving the vehicle’s safety features. The eTGX benefits from enhanced visibility thanks to a lower windshield frame and an additional window in the passenger door.

The efficiency of the EfficientCruise autopilot system has also been improved. Meanwhile, the Front Detection, steering assist, and emergency braking systems provide additional protection for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists. In terms of comfort, the eTGX features a wireless smartphone charger for the first time, an Easy Control panel on the passenger door, a 230V outlet, as well as a mechanical deadbolt.
