Tatra Trucks showed how the field tests are progressing for its first in-house electric truck, the Force e-Drive 8x8 model. This truck is built on the third-generation Tatra Force series chassis, featuring the brand’s traditional backbone frame and independent suspension with swing arms (with pneumatic elements on the rear axles).

The high-voltage components were developed in collaboration with Devinn. The electric motor, with a continuous power of 350 kW and peak power of 550 kW, was supplied by Danfoss, while the 4-speed automated transmission came from the renowned manufacturer Voith.

12 battery packs with a total capacity of 480 kWh are used for power. As a result, the dump truck, with a total weight of 44 tons and a load capacity of 22 tons, can travel up to 400 kilometers without recharging. To improve visibility, a Digital Vision camera system is used instead of traditional exterior mirrors.
