The Saudis unveiled the futuristic electric cars Ceer Exobot
Saudi Arabia’s first national automotive brand, Ceer, officially unveiled its debut production model named Exobot. Despite its futuristic design that resembles a concept car, the new vehicle is fully ready for mass production. The electric vehicle will be manufactured at a new specialized factory in King Abdullah Economic City. It will hit the market in two body styles—sedan and crossover. Buyers will initially be offered a limited edition called First Edition, with additional extreme versions to follow later.
The exterior of the new vehicle stands out with a unique 2.4-meter-long windshield that smoothly transitions into the hood. The manufacturer claims this is the largest windshield in the history of mass-produced automobiles. Both versions feature “eagle wing” style liftgates and narrow LED lighting. The interior is equipped with a steering yoke instead of a traditional wheel, a full 48-inch monitor spanning the entire width of the dashboard, and a separate screen for rear passengers. To prevent the massive amount of glass from turning the interior into a sauna under the scorching sun, the windshield has triple silver coating, and a powerful air conditioner can cool the cabin from 65°C to 32°C in just 10 minutes.
Both Ceer electric vehicles feature substantial dimensions. The sedan has a length of 5.26 meters, a width of 2.1 meters, and a height of just 1.43 meters; the crossover is slightly shorter at 5.02 meters and taller at 1.69 meters, while maintaining the same width of 2.1 meters. Both models are equipped with gull-wing doors—referred to in Ceer as “eagle wings”—whose design is inspired by the eagle.
The technical components of the Ceer Exobot were developed in collaboration with Taiwanese IT giant Foxconn and German automaker BMW, which provided its electric powertrain. The top-tier version is equipped with three electric motors delivering a total power of 1111 horsepower and 1500 Nm of torque. A sedan fitted with this system can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds. The base First Edition model offers 850 horsepower and a battery with a capacity of 112 kWh, providing 670 km of range for the sedan and 560 km for the crossover. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, fast charging from 10% to 80% takes less than 30 minutes.

The history of the Ceer brand began at the end of 2022, when Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman officially announced the creation of the country’s first national automobile company. The project became a key part of Saudi Vision 2030, the government strategy aimed at attracting foreign investment, creating jobs, and transitioning the country from a purely oil-based economy to one driven by high technology. To implement this plan, the Public Investment Fund entered into a long-term agreement with Foxconn, which was responsible for developing onboard electronics and cloud software. The German company BMW provided licenses for chassis components and powertrains. Initially, the company planned to produce only electric vehicles. However, an analysis of the global market forced management to reconsider its strategic direction. By 2030, the brand will launch five additional models, including conventional hybrid plug-in and regular hybrids.
