Nissan has unveiled the all‑new PIXO, a small electric city car engineered specifically for European urban life and built to embody the company's long‑term vision of "Mobility Intelligence for Everyday Life." The debut marks Nissan's entry into the A‑segment EV category, expanding its electric portfolio with a model focused on accessibility, practicality and modern connectivity.
Developed in partnership with Renault, the PIXO is produced at the Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia and represents a streamlined, collaborative approach to vehicle development. Nissan designed the car, while Renault contributed manufacturing expertise, allowing the project to move from concept to production with notable speed and efficiency.
At the core of the PIXO is a 27.5 kWh LFP battery - the first of its kind in a Nissan model in Europe - offering up to 259 km of WLTP range. The car supports 50 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 15-80% charge in roughly 28 minutes, and comes standard with 11 kW AC bi‑directional charging for home and workplace convenience.
Despite its compact footprint, the PIXO aims to deliver everyday usability. It features advanced driver assistance systems such as automated emergency braking, lane‑keeping support and Nissan’s e‑Pedal technology. Connectivity is a major focus as well: the MyNissan app provides navigation, route planning and charging management, while Google built‑in - including Gemini - offers seamless infotainment and real‑time guidance.
Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson of Nissan AMIEO, emphasized the model's role in making electrification more intuitive and affordable. "PIXO was designed specifically for Europe, for our cities - giving customers everything they need from an EV, without unnecessary complexity," he said. He also noted that rising fuel costs continue to strengthen the case for electrified mobility, positioning PIXO as a timely solution.
Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027, with pricing and market‑specific details set to be announced in December. With its compact dimensions, practical interior space and focus on smart, accessible electrification, the PIXO signals Nissan's intent to broaden its EV reach and meet the evolving needs of European drivers.
