DS unveiled the conceptual electric vehicle F3VER

The French automotive company DS Automobiles unveiled the concept car DS F3VER globally at the Paris Motor Show. This compact hatchback was created to showcase the style in which the brand plans to produce its future production electric vehicles. The model’s name derives from the English word “fever” — reflecting the designers’ aim to emphasize the emotional appeal and attractiveness of its design.

The vehicle measures 4.19 meters in length, 1.84 meters in width, and 1.46 meters in height. Vertical panels (referred to by the developers as totems) are installed at the front and rear, featuring emblems and LED logos. The front lighting system has a distinctive Y-shaped design.

The rear lights consist of 16 LED panels mounted on a lightweight magnesium base that mirrors the shape of the roof of Paris’s famous Grand Palais.

A special Cosmic Blue enamel was used for painting the body—it changes color depending on the angle of light, ranging from bright blue to deep purple. The car’s wheelbase is 2.7 meters long, which helps create a spacious interior, and its trunk volume is 400 liters.

When designing the body, the designers adopted an approach focused on maximizing structural simplicity. They combined the main headlights and daytime running lights into single units, made the bumpers solid, and removed all additional plastic trim from the wheel arches and lower door sections.

To accelerate the development of this silhouette and test various exterior designs, engineers made extensive use of Stellantis’ advanced computer programs and artificial intelligence systems. The rear LED panels also serve as communication tools, displaying special light signals to interact with the driver and other road users.

“AC” Fact Sheet

The DS Automobiles brand is a premium division of the French Stellantis group. It was named after the legendary 1955 Citroen DS model, which became historic for its revolutionary hydropneumatic suspension and futuristic design. The creation of the DS F3VER concept car and its presentation in Paris are steps aimed at refreshing the brand’s image and attracting younger audiences. In recent years, the company has faced tough times by selling only a limited number of vehicles, so it needs a new strong product to compete with Mini and Audi.
