Denver Public Schools deploys Kempower fast chargers for its electric school bus fleet

Denver Public Schools recently added 25 Blue Bird Vision electric school buses to its fleet, bringing its total number of e-buses to 28. The district chose Kempower to provide DC fast charging infrastructure at its Hilltop Bus Terminal. The project was led by electrical solutions provider Winn-Marion.

The terminal features a Kempower distributed charging system with 650 kilowatts of total power and 13 dual-port Kempower Satellite dispensers, providing 26 plugs for charging. The system dynamically distributes available power across multiple vehicles, helping keep buses charged and ready for daily routes.

In addition to Denver, Kempower solutions are powering electric school bus charging depots in Quebec, Louisiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Indiana and Wisconsin.
