Ceer produces Exobot SUVs and sedans in Saudi Arabia

With the Exobot, the Saudi brand Ceer introduces its first flagship vehicle, and behind it lies more than just a single model. The sedan and SUV were unveiled at the world premiere at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC) in the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC): Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who also serves as chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), officially presented the two models before Ceer provided details on their design and specifications. The Exobot marks the beginning of a portfolio that is set to grow to seven models with various powertrain options by 2030. Ceer itself describes the new model in its own statement as “bold, extraordinary, Saudi.”
Techinally, the Exobot relies on a fully electric, three-motor all-wheel-drive architecture with continuous torque vectoring and active suspension. The most powerful version delivers 817 kW (1111 HP) and 1500 Nm of torque. This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h, while the SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.

At launch, Ceer will first introduce the limited Exobot First Edition, available as a sedan and SUV with identical specifications. It delivers 625 kW (850 horsepower) and 1000 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds for the sedan and 2.9 seconds for the SUV. The 112-kWh battery is said to enable a range of up to 670 kilometers for the sedan and 560 kilometers for the SUV. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The question of whether the technical foundation for this collaboration comes from Rimac Technology remains unanswered.
In terms of dimensions, the Exobot falls into the category of large passenger cars. The sedan measures 5.26 meters in length, 2.10 meters in width, and 1.43 meters in height, while the SUV is 5.02 meters long, 2.10 meters wide, and 1.69 meters tall. Notably, the windshield is also impressive, as the manufacturer claims it is the largest ever installed in a production vehicle. At 2.4 meters long and at a 15-degree angle, it is designed to improve aerodynamics and visibility while reducing solar heat intake.
Windshield and falcon wings as highlights of the Exobot models
In addition are the nearly three meters long Shahin Wing Doors, named after the falcon of the region. They open in a 60-centimeter arc and can be activated either with a remote key or via controls integrated into the door. For use in regional climate conditions, a system called Halo Cooling was also developed to lower the interior temperature from 65 to 32 degrees Celsius within 10 minutes. Special coatings further reduce solar heat gain, triple silver-coated glass helps maintain heating and prevents fogging, while dual air conditioning systems for the front and rear areas ensure even cooling.

The Exobot eliminates a traditional steering column in favor of steer-by-wire technology, reducing the required steering angle from 400 degrees to 160 degrees. This system is supplemented by rear-wheel steering, which aims to provide a smaller turning radius in urban areas and greater stability at high speeds. Inside, a curved 48-inch display with 8K resolution, a 10.4-inch screen in the center console, and an 8-inch display for rear passengers span the entire width of the cockpit. A voice assistant understands and responds to queries in Arabic and English, while the Ceer app allows control of battery status, pre-conditioning, and remote parking.

The safety features include a structurally integrated cell-to-pack battery technology, seven airbags, and a spaceframe structure made of die-cast and extruded aluminum profiles embedded in the body and doors.
Mass production with a Saudi touch
Exobot is manufactured exclusively at the CMC in King Abdullah Economic City, according to Ceer, which is described as the largest automobile production site in the Middle East. The brand’s localization strategy aims to increase the proportion of locally produced materials to 45 percent by 2034, supported by a regional supplier ecosystem for after-sales services. This should reduce the time from order to delivery from months to weeks. Following the First Edition, an additional configuration version called Exobot PLUS will be introduced, while Ceer plans to gradually expand its portfolio with mid-size and compact models by 2030.
