Cadillac Celestiq Night Test: An Electric Car Becomes a Unique Piece

Cadillac introduces the Celestiq Night Test as a one-of-a-kind vehicle designed to showcase the customization options available for its electric luxury sedan. The car makes its debut at The Quail, an auto racing event part of the Monterey Car Week, serving as an example of how far the Celestiq’s configuration possibilities can extend.
This unique vehicle was created at the Cadillac Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan. There, each Celestiq is handcrafted from a custom selection of colors, materials, and finishes. As such, the Night Test is not a production model but rather a commission vehicle built to a customer’s specifications, used by Cadillac to demonstrate the capabilities of its ordering process. According to the manufacturer, interested parties can learn about configuring their own Celestiq there.
Dark Surfaces Define the Exterior
The body is painted in Caspia Metallic. It features 23-inch wheels with dark surface finishes. At the front, a jade-colored light shield encloses the headlights, which are also in a dark version. According to Cadillac, the light is diffused rather than reflected, giving the vehicle a subdued exterior appearance.
The combination of dark paint, darkened wheels, and the special lighting design serves as a cohesive design concept throughout the vehicle. Cadillac describes this approach as intentionally minimalist and restrained, without sacrificing visible technical details.
The interior features leather seats in Backen Black and Sheer Gray shades. Carbon fiber accents along with brushed metal surfaces complete the design. According to the manufacturer, this combination of materials is intended to give the interior a precise, technically styled appearance. The design follows the same restrained approach as the exterior. Bold color accents or playful details are intentionally absent, with dark and neutral tones dominating in combination with the mentioned materials.

Celestiq as a basis for custom modifications
The Celestiq, as the brand’s top-tier electric model, represents Cadillac’s technological forefront and is custom-designed to meet the specific preferences of each customer. The Night Test serves as a concrete example of how a cohesive design concept can be implemented in a one-of-a-kind vehicle, where painting, material selection, and detailing are all coordinated with precision.
Cadillac emphasizes that every order for a Celestiq results in a unique vehicle that differs from other examples. The Night Test was built as one such custom piece and is now being showcased to a broader audience during the Monterey Car Week.
