Bentley has unveiled the Torcal, a striking new addition to its lineup that reimagines the modern luxury SUV through the lens of the brand’s grand‑touring philosophy. Positioned above the Bentayga in presence and ambition, the Torcal introduces a fresh design identity, a more sculpted silhouette and a cabin crafted to elevate long‑distance travel into a serene, highly personalized experience.
The Torcal's exterior design marks a notable evolution for Bentley. Its proportions are more athletic and assertive, with a wider stance, a more pronounced shoulder line, and a front fascia that blends traditional Bentley cues with a sharper, more contemporary interpretation. The signature matrix grille is reimagined with a deeper, more three‑dimensional structure, while the lighting design adopts a crystalline aesthetic that emphasizes precision and depth. The overall shape is defined by clean surfaces and muscular curvature, giving the Torcal a sense of motion even at rest.
Inside, Bentley's craftsmanship reaches a new level of refinement. The cabin is built around a philosophy of "calm luxury," combining natural materials, advanced technology, and meticulous detailing. The Torcal introduces new veneers, expanded customization options, and a lighting concept designed to shift subtly throughout the day. Seating is engineered for long‑distance comfort, with enhanced contouring and a focus on acoustic isolation. Bentley's latest digital interface integrates seamlessly into the handcrafted environment, offering modern functionality without disrupting the traditional aesthetic.
Performance remains central to the Torcal's identity. The model is engineered to deliver effortless torque, refined dynamics, and the quiet, composed ride expected from the brand's grand‑touring vehicles. The chassis incorporates Bentley's newest suspension and control technologies, ensuring stability and comfort across varying road conditions. The Torcal's driving character is intended to feel both commanding and serene, reinforcing its role as a luxury SUV built for extended journeys.
The Bentley Torcal is available in two variants. The Bentley Torcal S is the performance‑focused variant of Bentley's newest luxury SUV, engineered to deliver extreme power, rapid acceleration and long‑range capability while maintaining the brand's hallmark refinement. The Torcal S produces 888 PS (653 kW) and 1350 Nm of torque, delivered instantly by its electric powertrain. This allows the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, placing it firmly among the fastest luxury SUVs ever built. Its 260 km/h top speed reinforces the model's positioning as the sportiest expression of the Torcal lineup.
The base variant is dubbed Bentley Torcal and delivers 821 PS (604 kW) and 1155 Nm of torque, providing strong, immediate acceleration thanks to its electric powertrain. According to the official model page, the SUV reaches 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h, placing it among the most capable luxury EV SUVs in its class. For both versions, Bentley relies on a large 113.2 kWh battery that underpins both performance and endurance, enabling a maximum range of 600 km on a full charge. Fast‑charging capability is a major highlight: with a 400‑V DC infrastructure, the Torcal S can charge from 10% to 80% in 16 minutes, and can recover 357 km of range in just 10 minutes when operating at peak DC charging power. In terms of driving precision, the SUV features an 11‑meter turning circle, suggesting agile maneuverability for a vehicle in this class.
The Torcal also expands Bentley's approach to personalization. Customers will be able to tailor nearly every aspect of the vehicle, from materials and color palettes to curated design themes that reflect different moods and lifestyles. This aligns with Bentley’s broader strategy of offering increasingly bespoke experiences across its model range.
