Automat Solutions’ new LyteMatch and LyteGuide software platforms facilitate battery electrolyte development

Automat Solutions has launched two software platforms for battery electrolyte work: LyteMatch, an electrolyte selection tool, and LyteGuide, a research assistant for battery materials and electrochemistry. Together, the two tools are designed as an integrated workspace that enables electrolyte discovery, formulation evaluation, literature review and data-driven battery materials decision-making.

LyteMatch is built for battery researchers, startups and manufacturers trying to identify, compare and evaluate electrolyte options against an application’s requirements. Users filter candidates by chemistry, application, performance advantage, temperature window and formulation criteria, and the platform links research insights that explain why a given formulation performs the way it does.

Comparisons run across factors including ionic conductivity, electrochemical stability, viscosity, thermal stability, safety, price and expected delivery timeline. Putting those side by side supports faster and more evidence-based development decisions, according to the company.

LyteGuide extends that formulation-search workflow into what Automat describes as interactive, paper-backed technical reasoning. It covers literature search, material recommendation, document analysis, technical Q&A and natural-language interaction with battery research data. Domain-specific modules include silicon anode, lithium-ion, sodium-ion and lithium metal batteries, among others. Users can explore chemistry-specific challenges such as interface stability, electrolyte safety, formulation optimization and lithium metal compatibility.

A formulation is a mix of salts, solvents and additives, and each offers trade-offs among various properties. For example, a blend that conducts well at room temperature may thicken in the cold or oxidize at high voltage, and an additive that stabilizes the interface at one electrode can degrade the other. Viscosity is part of the same picture, as a thicker solvent blend slows ion transport.

Both platforms are available for partner evaluation and rollout planning, and Automat is taking demo and access requests through its web site.
