Zeekr 7X gets more power and range, with prices held from $57,900

Zeekr has given its popular 7X electric SUV more power, a modest range boost and a built-in dashcam for 2027, with Australian prices holding at $57,900 before on-road costs.

Orders opened on November 1, with the first arrivals expected in December. The three-model range continues, with the Long Range RWD priced at $63,900 and the Performance AWD at $72,900.

The update comes a bit over a year after Australian deliveries began in August 2025. Zeekr says more than 23,000 local customers are now driving a 7X, with Australia accounting for around one in five of the model’s sales outside China.

One addition prompted by customer feedback is a built-in digital video recorder, now standard across the range, which uses the car’s cameras to record while driving and monitor it when parked.

There is also more performance, with all three variants gaining 25 kW or power, taking the rear-wheel-drive models to 335 kW and the dual-motor flagship to 500 kW. Torque is rated at 520 Nm for the rear-drive versions and 790 Nm for the Performance.

The claimed 0-100 km/h times fall to 5.6 seconds for the entry model, 5.5 seconds for the Long Range and 3.7 seconds for the Performance.

For buyers more interested in the distance between charging stops, the Long Range remains the pick on paper. Its 100 kWh battery offers a claimed 627 km on the WLTP cycle, which represents a modest increase of 12 km on the outgoing model.

The other range gains are also marginal, with the entry-level RWD moving to 482 km and the Performance to 544 km.

Zeekr is quoting DC charging at up to 450 kW and a 10–80 per cent charge in as little as 11 minutes, though it’s unclear whether those speeds apply for both battery sizes.

The Australian 7X retains its 800-volt architecture, with a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery in the base model and 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese packs in the two higher grades.

Interior updates are relatively restrained. The centre console has been reworked, with relocated cupholders and an extra storage compartment, alongside a revised armrest and suede headlining.

The 16-inch touchscreen and 13-inch instrument display remain, while the Long Range and Performance also get an augmented-reality head-up display.

Even the entry model includes heated front and rear seats, tri-zone climate control and a powered driver’s seat. The Long Range adds ventilated and massaging front seats, Nappa leather, a refrigerator and a 21-speaker sound system.

The Performance’s extra $9,000 over the Long Range buys the second motor, air suspension, automatic doors and 21-inch forged wheels, among other additions, though it does mean sacrificing 83 km of claimed range.

The exterior gets revised air ducts, grille shutter and rear diffuser, along with a relocated rear number plate. There is a new grey paint option with a black roof, while Performance buyers can choose a Black Edition package with black trim, black Nappa leather and 20-inch wheels.

Boot space remains unchanged at 539 litres, expanding to 1,978 litres with the rear seats folded.

Zeekr is also offering a launch package for the first 2,000 orders, including eligible paint and interior options, two scheduled services and a home wallbox. The offer runs until December 31, although buyers will need to cover the charger’s installation costs.

Zeekr says customers already waiting on their 7X can retain their existing order or speak to their retailer about switching to the updated model.
