Xpeng has begun delivering its L03 model in Europe, with CEO He Xiaopeng personally handing over the vehicle to the first customer in mid-October 2026 in Paris. The mid-size SUV celebrated its world premiere at an event in July. The handover took place ahead of the Paris Motor Show, where He Xiaopeng became the first CEO of a Chinese automaker to deliver a keynote speech.

The personal involvement of the company founder underscores the strategic importance of the European market for Xpeng. Despite challenging conditions due to EU tariffs and sometimes sluggish sales, the brand aims to signal its long-term commitment to establishing itself as a volume manufacturer in Europe.

The European version of the XPeng L03 is available as a purely battery-electric vehicle (BEV) or with a range extender. Depending on the equipment variant, the BEV version uses different battery sizes, offering ranges between 445 and 520 kilometres. At fast-charging stations, the manufacturer specifies a charging time from 20 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes. The starting price in Germany is €35,600.

As the first export model, the L03 uses the Google Maps Auto SDK. This means the infotainment system utilises an in-house Xpeng operating system but natively relies on Google’s live data for navigation, real-time traffic information, and charging route planning – without requiring a smartphone to be connected.

Additionally, Xpeng equips the entry-level segment with comprehensive assistance systems for automatic parking and assisted lane changes. In China, the series is marketed with the additional designation MONA, an acronym for “Made of New AI”. This highlights the focus on AI-driven technologies, which the first European customer also cited as one of the main reasons for purchase during his conversation with the CEO.
