Kia India integrates Jio-bp charging network through MyKia app

Kia India has partnered with Jio-bp to integrate their EV charging networks, giving Kia EV owners access to over 23,500 additional public charging points across India. The agreement also brings Kia's dealership-based fast chargers to Jio-bp's charging platform, extending access in both directions.

Under the new partnership, more than 7000 charging points operated by Jio-bp across over 1,100 sites in more than 300 cities will be accessible through K-Charge, Kia’s charging platform within the MyKia app. Drivers can use the platform to locate charging hubs, plan routes, initiate and monitor charging sessions, and make payments. In total, it brings the number of available charging points on K-Charge up to over 23,500.

The partnership also works both ways: 125 of Kia’s currently active DC fast chargers, along with future units, will be progressively added to the Jio-bp pulse charging app. The companies are yet to specify a timeline for completing the integration.

Atul Sood, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Kia India, said: “At Kia India, we are committed to making every aspect of the EV ownership experience as seamless and rewarding as the vehicles themselves. The integration of Jio-bp’s extensive charging network with K-Charge on the MyKia app is another step in this direction, giving Kia EV customers greater access to charging options through a single platform. By enhancing convenience, choice, and accessibility, we are further strengthening the overall Kia EV experience and supporting the growing adoption of electric mobility in India.”

Jio-bp is the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility, a joint venture between Reliance Industries and BP. Its charging network currently includes DC fast chargers rated from 60 to 480 kW, with sites located along major national highways and in major settlements. It currently boasts 7000 charging points across 1,100+ sites in ‘more than 300 cities’. The company reports network uptime of 96 per cent.

The agreement builds on Kia India’s ongoing efforts to expand public charging access through third-party operators. In February, Kia partnered with the state-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited to add more than 3000 charging points to K-Charge.
