EV drivers now get Virgin rewards for charging at Instavolt

Tie-up will allow motorists to bank loyalty points towards holidays, cinema trips and meals whenever they rapid charge

EV drivers can now earn Virgin Red rewards points every time they charge at an Instavolt station.

The collaboration between the UK’s largest ultra-rapid charging network and Virgin Red links Instavolt’s own Instavolt Miles rewards scheme with the wider Virgin programme.

Instavolt Miles was introduced in October and rewards users of the Instavolt app with “Volts” every time they charge at an Instavolt location.

Now, drivers can convert those Volts into Virgin Red points which can be put towards everything from cinema trips to Caribbean cruises.

All app users are automatically enrolled in the Instvolt Miles programme, which features four tiers, with drivers earning between one and 15 Volts for every £1 spent charging through the InstaVolt app. Drivers can choose to exchange their Volts for Virgin Points or use them towards future charging, with each Volt worth 1p when redeemed as InstaVolt charging credit.

Virgin Red allows members to use point towards flights, cruises, hotel stays, meals out cinema visits and Virgin Experience Days.
