BYD UK expands aftersales support

BYD has launched a new Approved Repair network in the UK in order to strengthen its customer aftersales support. The programme is being delivered in partnership with Vizion, the UK's largest managed network of vehicle repair centres.

According to a statement, the new repair network is live as of yesterday (8 September 2026), and launches with 138 ‘Approved Repairers’ already registered. BYD UK stated that the Approved Repair network aims to “provide customers with access to specialist repair expertise, genuine BYD parts and technicians trained in BYD repair processes”. The stated goal is to ensure consistent delivery of BYD’s repair standards.

The Chinese auto maker’s UK division added that, along with a six-year (or 150,000km) warranty, maintenance support, genuine spare parts and four years’ free roadside assistance, the Approved Repair network is intended to give customers “confidence through the life of their vehicle”. In January, the company also increased the mileage limit on its battery warranty from 200,000 to 250,000 km across Europe, while retaining the eight-year term.

“As more BYD vehicles take to UK roads, one of our key priorities is getting our customers’ damaged cars back on the road as quickly as possible,” said Bono Ge, BYD UK’s Country Manager.

He added: “Our Approved Repair Network gives BYD owners access to repair specialists who understand our vehicles, our repair processes and the specific requirements of modern electric and DM-i vehicles. It is another important step in delivering a high-quality ownership experience.”

The announcement comes amid rapid expansion by BYD in the UK. In September 2025, the firm opened its 100th franchised UK dealership – less than 30 months after launching on the British market. At the time, BYD said the average drive time to one of its showrooms was 27 minutes for most UK residents.
