2027 Kia EV9 pricing for the U.S. announced with some trim updates

Kia America has announced pricing and updates for the 2027 EV9, refining its award-winning three-row electric SUV with new styling elements and improved value across key trims. Since its debut, the EV9 has become one of the most celebrated electric SUVs on the market, earning both the 2024 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and 2024 World Car of the Year awards thanks to its distinctive design, spacious cabin, family-focused practicality, and advanced technology.
For the 2027 model year, Kia is focusing its attention on select trim levels while maintaining the EV9's familiar lineup structure. The range continues to start with the rear-wheel-drive Light and Light Long Range variants before progressing through the all-wheel-drive Wind, Land, and flagship GT-Line models. Pricing begins at $54,990 for the EV9 Light Short Range and rises to $71,990 for the fully equipped GT-Line, excluding the $1,645 destination charge.
One of the most noticeable changes arrives on the EV9 Wind. The trim now adopts black-finish 19-inch alloy wheels and Glossy Black exterior garnishes, giving the vehicle a more purposeful appearance. Kia has also expanded paint options by making Wolf Gray available on the Wind grade for the first time.
The biggest enhancement, however, is reserved for the EV9 Land. Kia has incorporated the formerly optional Nightfall Edition Package as standard equipment while simultaneously lowering the MSRP by $500 compared with the 2026 Land Nightfall Edition. In addition to the distinctive Nightfall styling treatment, the Land receives a significant performance boost, with torque increasing from 379 lb-ft to 516 lb-ft. The additional output is designed to deliver stronger acceleration, while an exclusive interior theme featuring a black headliner and unique contrast stitching on black synthetic leather seats helps distinguish the model from the rest of the lineup.
The updated Land trim already builds on the EV9 Wind's dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, heat pump, surround-view monitor, heated steering wheel, and advanced parking technologies. It also adds premium features such as self-leveling rear suspension, Digital Pattern Lighting grille, Meridian premium audio, ambient interior lighting, heated and ventilated rear seats, and second-row captain's chairs, making it one of the most comprehensive offerings in Kia's EV portfolio.
At the top of the range, the EV9 GT-Line continues to serve as the flagship model. Along with exclusive exterior styling, 21-inch wheels, GT-Line-specific interior treatments, a Head-Up Display, and optional VIP Relaxation second-row seating, the trim remains focused on combining luxury, technology, and distinctive design within Kia's three-row electric SUV lineup.

EV sales in the U.S. are booming in Q3 2025
Electric vehicle (EV) sales in the U.S. are booming - and Tesla and General Motors (GM) are at the front of the pack. Why the sudden surge? Many buyers were racing to take advantage of federal tax credits worth up to $7,500 before they expired in September, thanks to the Trump administration's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act." Tesla still holds the largest slice of the EV pie, delivering over 497,000 vehicles in Q3...

Some of the most noteworthy incentives for buying EVs in the U.S. after the end of the tax credit
Automakers in North America are increasingly reducing on‑the‑road prices for battery electric vehicles by amounts close to the former $7,500 federal tax credit. Manufacturers are applying the savings in different ways: permanent MSRP adjustments, time‑limited rebates applied at the point of sale, or larger dealer incentives that lower the cash price before financing or leasing. The strategy shortens the cash gap for...
