Masats to showcase AI-powered bus doors and new accessibility solutions at Eurobus Expo and Singapore Urban Mobility Week

Spanish bus doors supplier Masats will present its AI-powered bus access system, new door models and dual-function wheelchair ramps at Euro Bus Expo 2026 in Birmingham (3–5 November) and Singapore Urban Mobility Week (4–6 November).

Both exhibitions will feature the 028d double sliding door, equipped with the PIS-L door-status lighting system and AIDA (Artificial Intelligence Door Access), which uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to detect passengers’ access requirements before they reach the vehicle entrance.

The company will also showcase new ramp and door configurations designed for urban buses.

Masats AIDA system and new RD1 ramp at Eurobus Expo 2026

The AIDA system identifies passenger behaviour at bus stops and can automatically activate the door and/or wheelchair ramp according to detected access requirements. According to Masats, the technology is intended to facilitate independent boarding, improve passenger flow and reduce dwell times.

The 028d sliding door will be combined with the RD1 dual ramp, featuring flat sides to maximise usable width for wheelchair access. The ramp supports both electric and manual operation.

At Euro Bus Expo, Masats will also introduce the 029j Unidrive inswinging door, which operates both leaves through a single motor. The supplier highlights reduced operating noise, improved movement control and space optimisation. The door will be displayed with the RM2 manual ramp.

Masats to introduce 028e single-sliding door in Singapore

At Singapore Urban Mobility Week, Masats will exhibit the 028d door with AIDA and PIS-L, alongside the RD1 dual ramp.

The company will also present the 028e single-sliding door, featuring LED lighting and an angled opening mechanism suitable for front-door installation. It will be combined with a single-module RD1 ramp integrating electric and manual deployment.

Masats will exhibit at stand 335, Hall 18, in Birmingham, and stand D21 in Singapore.
