InstaVolt joins UK Shell Card charging network

The UK fast charging network InstaVolt has been added to Shell Card giving fleet operators and drivers access to over 4,250 InstaVolt chargers in more than 1200 locations.

It means that Shell Card customers are now able to access and pay for charging at InstaVolt’s charging hubs under what the CPO called a “single fleet mobility solution”. According to the company, its charging network “spans retail, hospitality and key road-route locations.

Delvin Lane, Chief Executive Officer of InstaVolt, commented: “We’re always looking for ways to make charging more accessible for drivers, making this partnership a perfect fit. For fleet drivers, reliability and convenience are essential.” He added: “Being part of the Shell Card network makes that experience even easier to access, while giving fleet operators a simpler way to manage charging across their business.”

Shell Card is becoming an increasingly important part of Shell’s wider fleet electrification offering. The card can be used not only for conventional fleet services but also to pay for EV charging, giving operators a single payment method for charging on the road. Shell hasretained its Shell Card and fleet solutions business as it restructures its wider charging operation, while expanding its commercial charging network to combine public, private and third-party infrastructure.
